In an Express Entry lottery for French language proficiency, the IRCC awards 3,200 ITAs, with a minimum CRS score of 420. Find out about the most recent changes.
In its most recent Express Entry draw, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has sent out 3,200 invitations to apply (ITAs) to individuals who speak French fluently. A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 420 was required for eligibility.
This draw comes after the IRCC has been very active lately. 920 individuals were called to a Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP) draw on July 2nd, with a higher CRS requirement of 739. Consequently, 3,750 candidates were targeted for healthcare positions and 1,800 candidates for trade jobs in the drawings held on July 5 and July 4.
The IRCC aims to broaden Canada’s immigration pool, which is shown in their strategic emphasis on French proficiency draws. Thirty percent of all category-based selections this year will consist of these drawings, since 15,600 ITAs were granted under this category in 2024.
