Important Information on Nominations for General Skilled Migration (GSM)
For the 2024–25 program year, the Northern Territory (NT) Government has received enough applications to complete the designated nominations. The online gateway for new applications has been temporarily suspended in order to handle the large number of applications within the constrained allocation.
Crucial Information:
- Applications that were submitted prior to the suspension will still be evaluated.
- Nominations will be given to qualified candidates based on the program’s requirements.
- Following the announcement of allocations for the 2025–2026 program year, the portal will reopen for new applications.
The Suspension’s Exceptions
Only onshore candidates with visa deadlines prior to July 1, 2025, will be given preference when it comes to new applications. See the official NT GSM updates page for further information on these exclusions.
Advice for Those with Visas:
- In order to investigate their alternatives and guarantee legal status in Australia, applicants with expiring visas should see a professional.
- Nominations prior to visa expiration cannot be guaranteed by the NT Government.
