The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw for Manitoba was held on July 18, and 161 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were distributed. These invitations were sent out in multiple streams, each aimed at a certain demographic of prospective immigrants:
The Stream of International Education (IES):
Graduates from Manitoban institutions received 109 LAAs. After completing their education in Manitoba, foreign graduates who wish to work and settle in the province are supported by this stream.
International Skilled Workers (Strategic Recruitment Initiative):
Candidates who took part in the Strategic Recruitment Initiative, a program designed to draw in skilled personnel from overseas, were given 52 LAAs. It was necessary to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 645.
Integration of Express Entry:
In order to help candidates with valid Express Entry IDs and job seeker validation codes integrate into the Manitoba immigration system, 16 LAAs were granted to them.
Comprehensive Information on the Stream:
Manitoba Stream Skilled Worker (SWM):
The Manitoba Work Experience Pathway: is intended for anyone, regardless of occupation, who is employed in Manitoba or who is an international graduate living in the province. The goal of this route is to hold onto talented professionals who are already making economic contributions to Manitoba.
Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway: For those who live abroad and have accepted job offers from Manitoban employers who have been approved. The province’s distinct labor shortages are the focus of this approach.
Overseas Stream for Skilled Workers (SWO):
The Manitoba Express Entry Pathway :is intended for those who are both eligible under Express Entry and meet the requirements for another MPNP stream. In addition to having strong familial ties to Manitoba, candidates must possess skills in in-demand occupations.
Human Capital Pathway: Concentrates on specialized foreign laborers with prior experience in Manitoba’s in-demand professions. This route highlights the applicant’s likelihood of finding work in Manitoba after they arrive.
The Stream of International Education (IES):
Career Employment Pathway: Needs a job offer in an in-demand occupation and the successful completion of a qualifying program from a Manitoban institution. Graduates looking to move from school to work in Manitoba can take this route.
The Graduate Internship Pathway :is accessible to recent master’s and doctoral graduates who fulfilled internship requirements through Mitacs Accelerate or Elevate programs. This route focuses on graduates with significant research experience but does not require a job offer.
The Student Entrepreneur Pathway: is available to graduates who have finished their studies in Manitoba and have run a business there for six months after graduating. It is open to new business owners as there is no minimum net worth requirement.
Effect and Future Measures:
The fact that 161 LAAs were issued in this draw is indicative of Manitoba’s continued efforts to pull in and keep highly qualified professionals and recent graduates from outside. There are various ways for people to support Manitoba’s development and prosperity through the PNP’s varied streams.
