5,000 ITAs were awarded to Canadian Experience Class applicants in the most recent Express Entry draw by Canada. Find out more about CRS scores and draw trends.
In its most recent Express Entry lottery, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 5,000 members of the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) to apply for permanent residency. A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 510 was required for candidates to be eligible.
There have been 25,125 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued for Express Entry in July, making this the ninth draw in an extraordinarily busy month.
Alternating Draw Types
Program-specific choices, like the CEC and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), have swapped with category-based picks in this month’s drawings. Candidates who speak French well have been given special attention in category-based draws, which have issued 5,000 ITAs in two draws. In addition, the IRCC invited 1,800 trade workers on July 4 and 3,750 healthcare professionals on July 5.
High Number of ITAs Issued
A sizable proportion of ITAs have also been observed in program-specific draws. 3,275 PNP candidates and 11,300 Canadian Experience Class candidates have been invited by the IRCC as of July 31. Many of these individuals are temporary residents of Canada who already live and work there. After a one-year break, program-specific draws will resume on May 30, which is in line with the IRCC’s intention to host additional domestic draws.
New Immigration Goals
In order to achieve its targets for permanent residents as stated in the Immigration Levels Plan, the IRCC unveiled a new goal in March: lowering and stabilising the number of temporary residents in Canada.

Express Entry System Overview
The Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program are the three primary economic immigration programs in Canada that are managed through the Express Entry system. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is used to rate candidates based on a number of factors, including as age, education, work experience, and language competency. The method aims for faster processing with a six-month service standard so that highly skilled individuals can join Canada’s employment more rapidly.
