With a minimum CRS score of 515 in the most recent Express Entry draw—the lowest score of the year for non-category draws—the IRCC is inviting 6,300 Canadian Experience Class candidates.
In the most recent Express Entry lottery, Invitations to Apply (ITAs) have been released by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
6,300 ITAs were given out by the department to candidates for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
To be considered, candidates had to receive a minimum of 515 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
The minimum CRS score for today’s draw is lower than the last CEC-only draw on May 31, which required a score of 522, and it is also the lowest score of the year in a non-category based selection draw.
The IRCC has issued 17,361 ITAs so far this month across six different drawings.
With a minimum CRS score of 670, the IRCC invited 1,391 candidates in a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-only draw yesterday. Before that, on July 8, 3,200 applicants were invited by IRCC through a category-based French proficiency draw.
Due to the fact that candidates nominated for the PNP immediately receive an additional 600 CRS points on top of their existing score, CRS scores for PNP-only Express Entry drawings typically exceed average. For instance, an Express Entry candidate who receives a successful nomination and has a score of 300 will have an overall CRS score of 900.
