Express Entry Draw Breaking: Canada issues 3,300 ITAs to CEC candidates | Canada Immigration News

3,300 Canadian Experience Class candidates with a minimum CRS score of 507 are invited to apply for Canada’s most recent Express Entry draw. Follow the results of Express Entry.

In its second Express Entry draw of the week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently extended invitations to 3,300 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates to apply for permanent residency. Candidates had to earn at least 507 on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) in order to be eligible.

This draw happened very soon after the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw the day before, in which 1,121 candidates were invited. For that draw, a CRS score of 694 was necessary.

Earlier in August, there were several Express Entry draws, which took place from August 13 to August 15. A category-based selection process focused on individuals who could speak French on August 15. A minimum score of 690 was required, and on August 13, 763 candidates were accepted in a PNP-only lottery. With a minimum score of 509, 3,200 candidates for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) were invited the next day, August 14.

Every other week, the IRCC holds several draws; in recent months, the number of PNP and CEC draws has significantly increased. This is in line with the department’s plan to control the number of temporary residents and give priority to domestic draws in order to meet the goals outlined in the Immigration Levels Plan for 2024–2026.

Through Express Entry, the IRCC hopes to accept 110,770 entrants in 2024 and 117,500 in 2025. It is more likely that candidates who obtain Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the second part of the year will help achieve the 2025 target because the IRCC normally completes Express Entry applications in six months.
