Exciting Changes: Tasmania Reopens Skilled Migration Program | Australia Immigration News

Tasmania has been granted 2,860 nomination spots for its 2024–25 skilled migration programme. 2,100 for subclass 190 and 760 for subclass 491 are included in the programme.

For the 2024–25 programme year, the skilled nominated visa slots in Tasmania have been allotted by the Australian government. 2,860 nomination slots total for state and territory nominated visa categories this year have been awarded to Tasmania, including:

– Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa: 2,100 places
– Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa: 760 places

In the upcoming weeks, Tasmania’s Skilled Migration State Nomination Programme will reopen for new Registrations of Interest. More information will be released shortly.

Nomination Applications Lodged but Not Yet Decided

Migration Tasmania shall proceed to handle your nomination application in accordance with the regulations in effect at the time of submission if you have filed one but have not heard back. Those who have been accepted will be nominated in SkillSelect.

Subclass 491 Applicants Seeking Subclass 190 Nomination.

Remaining remaining subclass 491 nomination applications will not be given automatic consideration for subclass 190 nomination. You must withdraw your present application and register for subclass 190 when the 2024–25 programme starts if you want to be considered for category 190. Depending on the amount of interest and the number of spots available at the time, new invitations to apply for subclass 190 nomination may be sent out.
