In the most recent Express Entry draw, Canada invited 1,800 French-speaking applicants with a CRS score of 400. With more than 19,000 ITAs issued in July, this is the third draw this week
For candidates who were proficient in French, the department conducted a category-based selection draw and awarded 1,800 ITAs.
To be considered, candidates had to receive a minimum of 400 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
One of the lowest CRS scores of the year for any Express Entry draw is the minimal score for today. At 515, the program-specific draw held yesterday for 6,300 candidates in the Canadian Experience Class likewise earned the lowest score of any non-category-based selection draw.
With a minimum CRS of 670, 1,391 individuals were called to a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-only draw earlier this week. Prior to that, on July 8, a category-based selected draw for French proficiency invited 3,200 participants.
Because Express Entry candidates who have been successfully nominated for the PNP automatically receive an additional 600 CRS points on top of their existing score, CRS scores for PNP-only Express Entry draws typically tend to be higher than average. For instance, an Express Entry candidate who receives a successful nomination and has a score of 300 will have an overall CRS of 900.
19,161 ITAs have been given thus far this month over seven different drawings. This month has been the busiest so far this year for Express Entry.
