In keeping with July’s historic activity, the IRCC invited 763 PNP candidates to the most recent Express Entry draw. Examine the crucial CRS score information and draw summaries for 2024.
In a recent Express Entry draw, 763 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates received invitations from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Following a particularly active July, this draw, scheduled for August 1, 2024, carries on the trend of increased activity in the Express Entry system.
For Express Entry, July 2024 was a record-breaking month with the most draws since the system’s inception in 2015. The Immigration and Naturalization Council (IRCC) issued over 25,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in nine different draws, indicating a major increase in the volume of immigration procedures. Compared to June, which had just one draw and a slower pace, this level of action is quite high.
Four of the drawings in July were category-based, aimed at certain candidate groupings. Interestingly, two of these drawings were restricted to candidates who could speak French; these draws’ lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores were 400. There were also two more category-based drawings targeted at candidates in commerce and healthcare occupations.
July had multiple program-specific draws in addition to category-based draws. Three of these were for PNP candidates, while two were for candidates in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). In the PNP draw on July 2, the highest CRS score of the month was 739.
The IRCC’s dedication to expanding the pool of prospects for permanent residency for individuals who are currently residing in Canada is demonstrated by the sharp increase in program-specific draws. The department’s plan to decrease the number of temporary residents while hitting its goals for admissions of permanent residents is in line with the new emphasis.
